Amazing Women by Rail Part and1 Part 2

https://www.nickythompsonart.co.uk/s/DAWBR_Digital2.pdf

In 2018 the first Amazing Women by Rail booklet was created for the Mid Cheshire and the Calder Valley lines. The booklet brought to life some of history’s amazing women who all achieved extraordinary things and who’s birthplaces, homes and historic businesses can all be accessed by rail. Now, the second edition in the Amazing Women by Rail booklet details the lives of 27 extraordinary women from different areas between Liverpool and Watford Junction on the London Northwestern Railway (LNR) network and provides information on how their birthplaces, homes, historic businesses and stories can be discovered by rail including George Eliot (May Ann Evans, 1819-1880), Millicent, Duchess of Sutherland (1867-1955) and more recent examples such as singer and television presenter Cilla Black.
